Activities
Paper Airplanes (Length)
Students fold and create their own paper airplane in pairs. Partners estimate the length of their plane’s flight. After launching the plane, partners measure the actual length of flight. Use the appropriate measure – inches, feet, or yards.
How Long is Your Smile (Length)
Students work in pairs. Each partner uses a string or yarn to measure the length of the other’s smile. The string is then aligned with a ruler to find the actual length in inches.
