Plate and Pin Clocks
Students create an interactive analog clock using bobby pins and two paper plates. An extra long bobby pin serves as the minute hand and a mini bobby pin stands as the hour hand. See the model below:
Human Clock
This activity is perfect for a class of 24 kids. Each student gets a piece of paper or card-stock with a number. Some numbers are the numbers on the clock and the other half are the minutes you’d count by to determine minutes. Using a long and short stick (I like to use a meter stick for the minute hand and a ruler for the hour hand), model the workings of a real analog clock.
